Information we collect and why
- Accounts: your email, chosen name, optional phone number and saved US shipping address support sign-in, address prefill and order history. Email/password accounts store a salted, one-way password hash. Google sign-in shares an account identifier, email and, when available, name. We do not receive your Google password.
- Orders: purchased items, payment references, contact details, shipping address and fulfillment information help us process orders and support customers. Stripe handles card information; we do not store full card numbers.
- Contact messages: the name, email, topic and message you submit are saved for the shop administrator to review and respond to. Please do not include sensitive payment or password information.
- Security and browser data: hosting services process connection information. We use temporary hashed request identifiers to limit abuse, session records for sign-in, and browser storage for your bag and checkout attempt.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the site and stores account, order and contact information in D1. Stripe processes payments. Google handles optional Google sign-in. Fonts are hosted on this website; loading a font does not contact Google. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. External Etsy, eBay and YouTube links open services with their own policies.
Cookies and tracking
Our storefront uses essential cookies for accounts and sign-in, plus browser storage for the shopping bag. A first-party counter measures public page views and estimates browsers active in the last five minutes. It uses a random short-lived visitor identifier, public page paths without query strings, and timestamps. It does not store IP addresses, account details or payment information in traffic records. Daily and page totals are retained; individual page-view events are pruned after 24 hours when new activity arrives, and inactive visitor records after five minutes. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable this counter while essential account and shopping functions continue. We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal information. Retention and security
Customer sessions expire after 30 days; admin sessions expire after 8 hours. Google sign-in state expires after 10 minutes. Expired security records are cleaned up during later requests. Order records are kept for fulfillment, support and recordkeeping. Account details and contact messages remain until removed through support; automated retention deletion is not currently implemented. Access is restricted to authenticated customers and the shop administrator as appropriate, and the public site uses HTTPS.
Your choices and requests
You can edit or remove your saved shipping address in your account and clear browser cookies or storage. For access, correction or deletion requests, email support@jamsengineering.com or choose “Privacy request” on our contact form. We may ask for information to verify ownership before acting. Some order records may need to be retained for legal or recordkeeping obligations. Applicable privacy rights depend on your location and the laws that apply; we do not penalize customers for making a privacy request.
Order history and children
Only website orders placed while signed in appear in your account. Guest, Etsy and eBay orders remain separate. The storefront is intended for customers able to enter into a purchase agreement, not for children under 13. Contact support if a child has submitted personal information.
